Welcome to Move Up Day (MUD)!

Sunday, August 4th marks a special occasion at our church: it’s Move Up Day! This is the day when all our kids and students transition into their new Sunday school classes for the year. Here’s everything you need to know to make this transition smooth and exciting for your family.

Ministry Transitions​
 

  • New 7th Graders: Welcome to the Student Ministry! Starting this Sunday, you’ll join other students in the youth room at 10:30 AM for Sunday school. It’s a great space to grow and learn with peers your age.  Your new Sunday School Teachers are Todd Miller and Cindy Deis and they are excited to welcome you to the Student Ministry

  • Graduates: Congratulations! You’re moving into the College and Career Group. Join us in Room 105B in the ROC gym at 9:00 AM.  Jordan and Joanney Morris will be your new Sunday School Teachers. They look forward to supporting you in this new chapter of your life.

Schedule Transitions for New Fifth & Ninth Graders

 

New Fifth Graders:

  • We are so excited that your child is moving up into fifth grade. This transition in their Sunday morning schedule is an opportunity for growth and learning in a new environment.

  • At 9:00 AM: Fifth graders will attend the Adult Worship Service. This is a wonderful time for you to worship together and highlight the importance of the service. Our Preteen leader, Jessica Walker, and the teachers will be sitting in a designated section where your child is welcome to join. Please remind your child that while they are with friends, this is a time for worship and not socialization. We provide a note-taking sheet to help them focus during the service.

  • After the Service: Students will move to Room 133 for Sunday school. After a large group session, boys and girls will split into smaller groups for a deeper dive into the lesson. Boys will go to Room 133 and girls to Room 131.

  • Pick-up: You are welcome to pick up your student at 11:45 AM, coinciding with the conclusion of other Sunday school classes and the worship service.

New Ninth Graders:

  • Last Week: Participated in Adult Worship Service at 9:00 AM and then went to Sunday School.

  • Starting This Week: Your new schedule begins with Sunday School at 9:00 AM in the Youth Room, followed by Worship at 10:30 AM.

What to Expect

  • Fellowship and Learning: Each class is designed to help students grow in their faith and build lasting friendships.

  • Supportive Leaders: Our dedicated teachers and group leaders are here to guide and support your child in their relationship with Jesus.

​
