Women's mentoring ministry

We are so excited to begin the spring semester of our mentoring program for the women of Parkside. Our Mentoring Ministry is designed to foster spiritual growth, through developing friendships among women of different generations that are a source of support, growth, and strength. It is built around mentors, who are a season ahead, sharing godly wisdom and life experiences with younger women, mentees, and a prayer warrior, who prays for and with the mentor and mentee. This program is for girls/ladies in 9th grade and older.

The Women's Mentoring Ministry is accepting applications for mentors, mentees, and prayer warriors. Please read the descriptions below, and click on the appropriate button to submit an application. If you have any questions, please contact the Women's Ministry.

A MENTEE is:

  • One who desires a stronger relationship with Christ and encouragement for spiritual growth.

  • One who wants to connect with a more mature woman to ask questions about self, life, and God.

  • One who is responsive and respectful of the mentor and her time.

A MENTOR is:

  • A spiritually mature woman who is willing to come alongside another and point her to Jesus.

  • A woman on her own spiritual walk, who is willing to teach what is good and honoring to the Lord by modeling the role of a godly woman.

  • A woman who will be transparent, love, listen to, encourage, and pray for her mentee.

A PRAYER WARRIOR is:

  • One who is committed to praying for the mentor/mentee relationship.

  • One who is available for prayer requests from the mentor and mentee.

  • One who maintains strict confidentiality in regards to the information given.

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled... Not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the good doctrine of God our Savior." Titus 2:3-5,10
