How can I know God?
We believe that God has a plan for every single person. God has revealed His plan to us in Scripture. Click here to know more about how you can know God personally.
Where do I go when I arrive?
When you arrive at Parkside, a greeter will welcome you and direct you to one of our Welcome Centers. At the Welcome Center, you can find answers to questions you may have about your first visit. A Guest Services volunteer will also be available to assist you in getting to the Worship Center or to a particular Sunday School Class. You may also choose to utilize our Plan Your Visit tool, designed to create an individualized itinerary for your visit.
Where do my kids go?
Preschool & Children:
The Preschool and Children's Ministry is located on the south side of the building across the hall from the youth room. You will find a security kiosk stationed with friendly workers ready to give you information about the different classes we have to offer. To protect your child, all preschoolers and children, and their parent/guardian, receive a Security ID bracelet for church activities.
Preschool Sunday Schedule Children's Sunday Schedule
The Student Ministry meets on the ground floor of the Recreation Outreach Center (The ROC). We encourage all visitors with 7th-12th grade students to come to the Youth Room, Room B110, just east of the Gym, in the south part of the The ROC. There they will find some great youth workers to help get their student(s) to the appropriate department and class.
What is your Sunday schedule?
Our Sunday morning schedule includes Sunday School and Worship. Sunday School classes meet at 8:00, 9:15, and 10:45. (Preschool and children classes meet at 8:00 and 9:15 only. Youth classes meet only at the 9:15 hour.) Our worship times are at 9:15 and 10:45.
Sunday evenings are when most of our Life Groups choose to meet. Most begin at 5:00 p.m. with fellowship, prayer, and study. Many of these small groups also choose to enjoy a meal together. Each group has the freedom to choose the weekly time that works best for their group. Click here for more information on Life Groups.
What is your Wednesday night schedule?
On Wednesday night, we offer a meal (make reservations by calling 903-465-1686 or filling out a reservation form in the Sunday bulletin) from 5:00-6:00. The cost is $4 for adults and $3 for children (with a family maximum of $15). At 6:15, our activities include the AWANA Ministry for preschoolers and children during the fall and spring, Youth “Throwdown” Bible study and activities, the Pastor's Mid-Week Bible Study, and Worship Choir rehearsal.
How should I dress?
No matter what your personal dress style, you will be comfortable at Parkside. You will find members in both dressy and casual attire. Most people prefer to dress up a little more on Sunday mornings, but even if you prefer jeans, you’ll be right at home with us!
How can I become a member?
You can become a member of Parkside in one of three ways:
By Baptism—Giving testimony that you have received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and being baptized as a result of that decision.
By Transfer of Church Membership—Moving your letter to Parkside from another Southern Baptist Church.
Statement of Faith—Testifying that you have a personal relationship with Christ and have been baptized by a church with similar theological beliefs as ours.
